Welcome to Journey of the Heart.
Here I hope you will find encouragement, that you will find hope, that you will be strengthened and that you will feel loved and not alone.
Not too long ago, sitting in a Sunday morning sermon, the Pastor was preaching in the book of John Chapter 5. It was about Jesus healing on the Sabbath. As he started, I got a little excited to hear all he had to say, as I had just read this to my girls a few days back for our morning devotion. I was planning on checking on whether or not they had listened to the sermon, on our drive home. But God had other plans for me that morning. He had something to say to me.
I heard the Preacher as far as verse 7 – when the impotent man responded to Jesus’ question, “Wilt thou be made whole? The man replies, “I have no one to lift me into the pool when the water has been stirred.”
At that moment, my first thought was that poor man. He had no one. He had no family member or dear friend to lift him into the water. Tears filled my eyes. And then I felt such an overwhelming sense of love surround me.
I started to sob, (making all attempts to not embarrass the girls) I realized how amazingly blessed I was. I immediately thought of my sister and a handful of incredible friends that have lifted me into the pool of healing during what I believe to be the darkest time in my life. These precious women have poured as much of themselves into me, in so many different ways, to tell me and show me that I am not alone. They are walking this unknown journey with me, bearing my burden, therefore, fulfilling the Law of Christ.
They are lifting me into the pool of healing… to be made whole again.
That is what I want you to find here my friend. After visiting here, I hope that you find you have been lifted into the pool of healing. The healing that only comes from Jesus. That you feel you are being made whole again. That you know you are loved and that you have not been abandoned.
