Welcome to Journey of the Home, another place I hope that will bring inspiration and encouragement as we build the homes we’ve been given.
Each home is unique in itself, but I believe each of us desires that our homes be full of love, forgiveness, kindness (to name a few), and that each person dwelling within our homes feels accepted and safe. We keepers of the home forget that we are often the ones that set the atmosphere in our homes. So even though some of the topics we will write about could fall under the Journey of the Heart, I wanted to post them under the home.
Posts here may include anything from organizing and simplifying our lives, to homeschooling and making God known to our children, financial freedom and living within our means, Holiday decorating and crafting and about our health and suggestions on how to care for the one body we are given to live in on this journey called life. I may even throw in an occasional recipe because I love to share all the good things I discover with those around me.
In Proverbs 14:1 “The wise woman builds her house, but the foolish pulls it down with her hands”. I also liked the way the NIV said it: “The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down”.
Wow, with our own hands we can tear it down. I pray that here we will be exhorted in the ways that build our homes. That God would receive all Praise, Honor and Glory for all that is done within and what comes out of our homes.
